I’m back with more playoff baseball! Last weekend, I was able to go to Milwaukee, and see game 2 of the NLDS between the Brewers and Braves. This is my third time visiting American Family Field (former Miller Park.) This stadium is one of my top favorites. There is a great fan base in Milwaukee, and they’re dedicated to their team. Unlike my prior blog posts, I have two videos to share this time! Hopefully, this will be a new thing going forward. I found out that I could go live on my phone through my Twitch stream, and share the stadiums with everyone. If anyone is interested in seeing more of my live streams in the future, click here to follow my Twitch channel.
In the first video, my friend Evan joined me from northern Wisconsin, who’s a huge Brewers fan. I’ve known him for about ten years now, and we catch up often about baseball. He is one of many that are part of this dedicated fan base. On opening day, you can find Evan at American Family Field at around 4:30 in the morning. That’s a close race to being the first people at the stadium! If there is one thing that makes Milwaukee stand out compared to any other MLB stadium, it’s the tailgating. These fans don’t mess around with their set up when it comes to tailgating.

After tailgating for a while, we walked into the stadium, and the atmosphere was amazing! This crowd of almost 44,000 was awesome, and they wanted to see their Brewers win. The Braves had other plans. Atlanta has a very well balanced team this year, and they were able to capitalize on the Brewers pitching. Game 1 was a very clean game, and game 2 didn’t disappoint. In my opinion as a baseball fan, I love to see the low scoring games where anything can happen. With that being said, the Braves kept the crowd out of it most of the game. Milwaukee came very close numerous times to the crowd going crazy, but they couldn’t get that one hit they needed each time. The Braves had a 3-0 lead in the 6th inning, and held the Brewers off to take game 2 on the road. This series is going back to Atlanta now, and I can’t wait to see more of this series. Both teams are very evenly matched, and this might even go to a game 5. I have hopes that this won’t be my last baseball game of 2021, but we’ll have to see how the division series works out on each side. If it is the last game, I have some sports streams planned that I’ll be sharing on here, along with visiting a few hockey arenas!
If you haven’t been to Milwaukee, I highly recommend spending at least one night in the city. Downtown doesn’t disappoint, and it’s great for anyone that likes a good beer. If you’re planning a baseball trip, there are a lot of stadiums within a reasonable drive from Milwaukee, also. This is also a great stadium to catch while taking a trip to Chicago. It’s about an hour away from Ohare Airport. Milwaukee also has a team with the American Association, The Milwaukee Milkmen. They were the 2020 American Association Champions, and I visited their stadium earlier this year. Click here to see that post. Also, in 2022, the American Association will have a new team with a new stadium northwest of Milwaukee. I’m planning to visit there next season, hopefully early in the season! As always, pictures will be below this paragraph, thank you for checking out the blog!
